We offer Total Joint Replacement classes to prepare you for orthopedic surgery. This helps you understand what to expect after discharge, as well as provides resources to help your recovery.
Physical therapy is offered in your room. If needed, stairs are also available for therapy. Our physical therapists and nurses work together to provide you with the best care. Our nurses receive special training in pain management techniques and physical therapy skills.
The private rooms are designed to accommodate extra medical equipment, such as wheelchairs and overhead patient helper bars. For accessibility, bathrooms have large, open showers so patients can shower from a chair.
Patients requiring additional therapy after discharge and who meet criteria may be admitted to J.L. Bedsole/Rotary Rehabilitation Hospital, located on the third floor of Mobile Infirmary. A case manager is available for help plan discharge, arrange home services or admission to a skilled nursing facility.
