Early detection is the best way for women to improve the success of treatment for breast cancer. Accredited by the American College of Radiology, our Breast Center provides state-of-the art technology for screening or diagnostic tests. The center offers a wide range of tests and procedures that include:
- Screening and diagnostic mammography.
- Breast ultrasound.
- Breast biopsies.
- Breast cyst aspiration.
- Galactogram (x-ray of milk ducts).
A radiologist is available to read mammograms and consult with patients undergoing diagnostic tests before they leave the center. Patients having screening mammograms receive written results through the mail.
A new addition to our specialized equipment is new high-definition imaging system used for ultrasound testing. This unit helps to evaluate whether a biopsy is needed and can also assist with accuracy during core needle biopsy.
